List of Room Traps (19th May 10 at 10:07am UTC)
"D" Rank Traps

Treasure Sorter
Rank: D or C rank
Type: Room Trap
Effect: Teleports people to other parts of the area
Special: A curtain with treasure painted on it and a solid floor, A hole in the floor right beyond the curtain that leads to the room below, and an illusion GenJutsu.
Drawback: If one enters the room right after one falls in the trap, they can see the moving curtain, and not fall for the trap.
Description: The victim walks through a door and notices a big room with treasure on the other end. Completely giving into greed, the victim will probably run right ahead, running through a completely still curtain. Right beyond the curtain, a genjutsu is cast upon the victim, making them think that they fell into the pit and have been teleported to another area. In all actuality, the user is dropped into a room below. (GenJutsu does not have to be used) and the GenJutsu is dispelled as soon as they hit the ground.
Limit: Room Trap craftsman, possibly GenJutsu specialist?
Cost: 2,500 Ryo

"C" Rank Traps

Thief Squasher
Rank: C
Type: Room Trap
Effect: Crushes opponents in between two walls after using a fake chest to lure them in.
Special: Fake wooden chest (completely wooden), 3 doors, two of them in plain sight, one hidden, Moving wall, and spring-loaded battering ram.
Drawback: This seems hard to get out of, but in all actuality, it is one that people could easily escape from if they think things through.
Description: Walking in through the west wall, the victims notice another door, which could be used as an escape route and a chest in the middle. If they check out the door on the south wall, they will find that it is locked. If they are truly observant, they will be capable of noticing the hidden wall on the north wall, but behind it is just another wall, incapable of being moved in. If the victim tampers with the chest, the west door is locked, and the south door is unlocked. The chest starts sinking, and it is completely made of wood, so there is no hiding. Then the north wall starts moving. As soon as the chest sinks completely, the north wall passes over it. If one were to try to open the south wall, they would be launched back by a spring loaded ram, and hitting the north wall. If one were to go through the secret door now, they could hide, but they are not out of the clear yet. Once the north wall hits the south, it starts moving back. If people are not careful, they could be caught on the other side of the north wall, and are squashed there. After the wall is back in place, and the chest is up again, the south door is locked again, and the west is unlocked, allowing for escape.
Limit: Room trap craftsman
Cost: 3,000 Ryo

All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Rank: C
Type: Room Trap
Effect: A room full of riches has a much less pleasant surprise lurking beneath the glittering fortune.
Special: Large sheet of glass, wooden slugs painted to look like yen, some actual Ryo coins for realism, carnivorous fish.
Drawback: Smart adventurers may poke at the pile of false reaches first with some kind of long object, such as a spear or rod, thus discovering the less-stable glass covering underneath
Description: When the door to this room is opened, all there to see the rooms’ contents will behold a marvelous sight. The room appears to be flooded with a huge amount of Ryo. As long as they look but do not touch, they will be just fine. However, what sane person would simply stand in the doorway and look at that amount of money before them? Unfortunately, the moment they walk out there, their fate is sealed. Beneath all this supposed ‘money’ is a sheet of glass, just strong enough to hold the collection of items, as well as 75 additional pounds. Any more and the victim will break the glass, falling through to the area below. Some of the Ryo coins are merely pieces of wood, painted to look like money. Thus, they will float on the water that the gap in the glass has revealed, creating the illusion that the victim has simply sunken deep into the pit of Ryo. Of course, as stated, it is truly a pit of water that they have fallen into. In this water is an amount of carnivorous fish, all too eager to take a bite out of the unfortunate soul. If the character cannot find the hole they slipped into, they will drown within so many turns. Do not forget to take into account that if they do find their exit, there is sharp edges to deal with.
Limit: Room Trap Craftsman
Cost: 3500 Ryo

Music To My Ears
Rank: C
Type: Room Trap
Effect: Curious adventurers stumble across a beautifully crafted lute. Those that play however, may soon find their musical taste switching over to something a bit more silent.
Special: Lute, ‘tuned’ walls.
Drawback: If no notes are played, the characters are safe.
Description: The bait to this trap is an eye-catching instrument, with gold inlay, sparkling gems, and platinum strings. No doubt, such a thing would net anyone holding it a high-price. Of course, with an instrument in hand, the curious folk cannot help but pluck a note or two. ‘In tune’ with the lute, the walls vibrate, amplifying and distorting the sound to the point it sounds like 100 gongs have just sounded next to the character’s heads. All in the room are affected by this. It takes a full minute before the last of the sounds reverberations die away, and at this point, all characters will be temporarily deaf for three turns. A shame that such sounds will alert anything nearby to the travelers’ exact location.
Limit: Room Trap Craftsman
Cost: 10,000 Ryo

Wimps Revenge
Rank: C
Type: Room Trap
Effect: Not ever person who wears the title of ‘hero’ has earned it. With this trap, you get to see who the true hero’s are, and who just likes to flex.
Special: Rotating wall, treasure chest (does not have to contain anything), many explosives, placed correctly so that striking the wall will light them.
Description: When the group enters this room, they will see a treasure chest placed against the fall wall, resting on top of portion of elevated floor. Naturally, the ‘hero’ in the group will send the smaller, weaker member of the party to go investigate. As soon as the selected character touches the chest, the wall and ledge rotates, sending the character to the room on the other side, and in their place… a generous portion of explosives, lit thanks to the friction against the wall and ready to detonate. What is on the other side? The door to the next room is all.
Drawback: ---
Limit: Room Trap Craftsman
Cost: 3000 Ryo
